A new life began for me in 2009 when I purchased my Gypsy wagon, An ex rental 2003 Toyota Hiace campervan. Some people were skeptical about my plans to travel around Australia, especially as I had never driven further than a 2 hour trip in all my 40 years of driving and had a tendency as a passenger to drop off to sleep within minutes of setting off on a journey .
I was inspired to leave my secure, predictable lifestyle by 2 seasoned travelers who I met on a holiday in Darwin. These two ground breaking adventurers seemed to be living the life I only dreamed of.
After my return home to a very cold Victorian winter I began fantasizing about life on the road, walking on tropical beaches, living in the outdoors off the beaten track without boring housework.
It was a life changing moment when one of these girls invited me to join them and I began my quest to find a suitable escape machine, inquiring also about the possibility of renting out my unit in Geelong.
Plans fell into place very quickly and I was soon on the highway to adventure in my wonderful Gypsy Wagon.
Life as I knew it was never to be the same.

ReplyDeleteI also want to purchase Toyota Hiace campervan. It is quite spacious among all other campervan model available nowadays. Whenever we plan family trips we love to use campervan hire Australia services.
